Supply and Installation Contract

Tenders are invited from contractors for the supply and installation of a new Building Management System (BMS) for the High Court of Australia Building in Canberra.

The High Court building was opened in 1980 and much of the original building services are still in use. The existing BMS was installed in 2001 and provides basic control of HVAC plant and equipment. At the time the BMS was installed in 2001, most of the pneumatic controllers in the building were replaced with electronic controllers.

The High Court is seeking to improve control and monitoring of its building services and improve energy usage. To help achieve this aim the High Court is seeking to replace its existing BMS with a new system with greater functionality and monitoring and reporting capabilities. The new BMS will have the capacity to control and monitor all building plant and equipment including HVAC, electrical, lighting, hydraulics and emergency generator systems. The BMS will also provide monitoring of gas, electricity and water usage and provide alarms to key Court staff and contractors if pre-set usage patterns are exceeded.

There will be a mandatory industry briefing and site walk through at 10.00am on 2 December 2013. The tender contact officer can be contacted at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
