The woven woollen tapestry hung from a polished brass rod in Court 1 includes the symbols of the states and territories that make up the shield of the Commonwealth Coat of arms, surmounted by the crest of the Commonwealth. It is a stylised representation of the Coat of Arms in the form of a banner 4.3 metres long and 2.5 metres wide.
